Hi,

Microsoft Outlook is telling me that my mail has been sent, but the
recipients complain that they are not getting my emails. Can you tell me how
I should fix this?

Check your SMTP server (outgoing) settings in Outlook, verify with your ISP
that they are 100% correct, and send a test message with a delivery status
request. Are you getting any NDR/bounce messages?

Richard,

The mail could be blocked on the other side due to content, size or mailbox
size limitations or your address (or the companies) could even be blocked.
Are you sending this from one company to another? Are they able to send to
you? Do you have any attachments on the email?

Regards,

Some of the email I wish to send are to other companies, while some are
within my company. There are no attachments to the emails and I receive my
recipients mail when I send/receive. I believe that there is a problem with
microsoft outlook, because when I send the same email from outlook express on
the same computer, the recipients receive the email.

This is very strange. Any solutions?

Do you have a firewall operating.

Check firewall logs to see if Outlook is sending out a few messages on other
ports which you block. It certainly does so during the setup testing
process and fails the test. Then continues to work for standard emails.

Express does not send out a few messages on other ports. Express is good
for NewsGroups too !
