Outlook Safe Mode Error [Outlook 2003]

Each time I open Outlook 2003 I get the following error message:

Outlook failed to start correctly last time. Starting Outlook in safe mode
will help you correct or isolate a startup problem in order to successfully
start the program. Some functionality may be disabled in this mode.

Do you want to start Outlook in safe mode?

This happens when I select Yes or No each time Outlook is opened. The only
thing that may have triggered this is the installation of the new Palm 700
software/Active Sync with this pc. Does anyone have any insight to this
matter?

I've searched the Microsoft Knowledge Base Articles and I've only come
across article Q298838 which really did not answer my question.

I'm going to chime in here with the same problem in Outlook 2002. It started
about 10 days ago. I have fully uninstalled/reinstalled and no luck. I'm
not using NOrton (as mentioned in another post) and have disabled the CA
virus scan. Is it possible it is an update?

Did you goto help> about outlook> click on disabled Items. This will tell you
if you have an addin that is stoping in an unexpected way.

Looks like I may have fixed it. I don't want to cheer too soon. I went to
www.howto-outlook.com/faq/outlookdoesnotstart.htm and after step 2 Outlook
started out of safe mode. Now I have troubel syncing my iPAQ but that is
another issue. I hope htis helos you, NinaMo.
