Hi is there a limit on the number of rules a client can create within their
mail settings?

We're using exchange 2003 / outlook 2003, and one user like to have all her
mail organised into relavant folders. She has about 30 / 40 already and
she's now being told that if she adds anymore that the initial rules will be
deactivated.

If there is a limit is there anyway to increase the amount available to
users?

32KB if using Exchange. It is a fixed size.

It is likely that the user is lazy or uneducated on Boolean logic and
doesn't know how to compose effective, terse, or combined rules to
reduce their count and size.

Or instead of using Rules to sort consider using additional sorting and
productivity methods like Custom Views, Categories, Automatic Formatting and
Search Folder.
