Outlook Rules add-ins

Hi, I am currently receiving in excess of 3000 spam emails a day most of which I successfully filter and delete. A very large number simply get ignored by the rules I have set up. I have set up a rule and run the rule through the junk email folder and it works but in the normal process of send/receive the rule just doesnt work. I have it flagged correctly to be applied but it is baffling me! Any ideas?

Also a large amount of spam uses my correct email address's but the "display name" has all the usual suspects "viagra" etc. There does not seem to be a way to filter by "display name" in outlook and I wondered if anyone knows of an Add-in that could deal with this.

If the email addy you have posted from is genuine then you will receive more
spam, as its now been harvested.
Munge your email addy
There are a number of third party spam addins,
Mailwasher - a web interface
Cloudmark - an outlook plugin
To name a couple
PS any decent mail host has spam/AV filtering built in, mine catches 95% of
spam

1. the junk email filter runs before rules, so the rules will fail if the
junk mail filter catches the message
2. you can filter based on words in the message header... but if the outlook
filter is missing a lot a 3rd party tool will be better
