Outlook retrieving data

Just upgrading to Outlook XP and periodically Outlook flashes the message " Outlook is retrieving data from the Microsoft Exchange Server" and causes performance to be slow. Anyone know how to correct this?

You can tell Outlook not to display that message, but basically what is
happening is exactly what the message states. OUtlook is retrieving data
from the server and is letting you know that it is taking longer than
expected.

Indeed, if this happens more often or even too often let your administrator
look at the server performance so it can trace the bottleneck. Things like a
daytime virusscan of the complete Exchange store could cause this sort of
things as well.
