Outlook is trying to retrieve data from Exchange server

We are running Exchange 2000 and Outlook 2003. One user gets this message
"Outlook is trying to retrieve data from the Exchange server Mail1". Do you
have any suggestions? Please let me know if you need additional
information. Thanks.

Make sure the his local area connection is running at 100 mbps. check
the ping times to the mail server.
