Outlook resource delegate

Hello friends:

I have setup few outlook resource mailboxes for digital cameras and
projectors on our exchange 2003 server. There is a person who is incharge of
all these resources, and he wants to be notified every time some one
reserves a resource via outlook. To accomplish what he is requesting, I have
made him a delegate to all these resources and gave him editor permission
and checked the box 'delegate should recieve meeting request'. But he is not
getting any notification when someone reserves a resource. I have even tried
setting up a rule to this end on the resource mailboxes but still no luck.

Is there any other way to for the delegate to get some sort of notification
when people book resources in Outlook. All our clients use Outlook 2003 sp2
with Exchange 2003.

Thanks for your help.

Regards.

How are the folks requesting resource reservations? (I just don't want
to make any assumptions.)

Users reserve the resource through Outlook Calendar by inviting a particular
resource from the Global Address List and placing the resource in
'Resources' field rather than reuired or optional field.

How to have a mail notification to recipients in the "resource" field for
someone that is managing the resource. so When meeeting notifications are
sent to not only the required or optional recipients in the resources are
notified via mail as well not just tagged in the calander.

Hi Cody,
(merely informational)
Using the Resource Scheduling... calendar features (auto process of mtg
request) implements 'server side" processing of the meeting requests to the
resource calendar.

So the meeting request is processed server side & never hits the 'inbox' as
a meeting request that would provide for additional rule processing &
forwarding to others.
(it's the fine line between client side & server side rules between Exch. &
outlook)

We are in need of the same solution. I will post again if we come up with
anything, and would appreciate the same. :)
