I have not been able to send e-mail through Outlook for months, although I
receive e-mails with no difficulty. I have redone the settings per the ISP's
instructions dozens of times, with no results. If I disable Norton Internet
Security 2005, perhaps 1 message might go through, but no more. In addition
to Norton Internet Security I have a D link DL 704 router.

Quincy,

I've posted a similar thread. What kind of error messages do you get? I'm
getting 503 error messages that say "503 Valid RCPT TO <recipient> must
precede DATA" when there are actual, valid addressees in those lines.

Is this similar to your problem?

Hi Darrell:

Thanks for your quick response. The error message I get is 0x80040601; Mail
delivery error.

When I hit "send" after drafting an e-mail, the message goes to the Outbox.
If I then hit "send and receive" then the notification is that Outlook is
receiving messages from the server, but there is no reference to sending any
messages to the server.

Could be the router's MTU setting. See
