SCANPST.EXE fix and it came back with errors, I have run chkdsk /f and it
comes up with "Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time
the system restarts? (Y/N) " I say yes and the pc boots normal and does not
rucn chkdsk" I am at a total LOSS please help.

PS I am using windows XP SP1 and Office XP

Do you see disk errors as well in the Event Viewer-> System Log? If so you
have a failing harddisk.

If scanpst.exe runs to completion after reporting the errors, it may help to
run it again until no errors are reported.

Ouch I got it fixed and I checked the event viewer out and I get "The device,
\Device\Harddisk0\D, has a bad block."

So time for a new H/D. Thanx guyz for the quick response :)

Outlook 2007 user often experience such error thta takes place because of corruption or damage in the pst file and using scanpst.exe outlook 2007 it is possible to fix this error. But the only thing that is necessary to do is to follow the entire steps properly.
