Outlook problem(s)

Anyone:

My outlook does not send and recieve until i click on the
send & recieve tab up top; I was under the impression that
messages were to be sent immediately upon hitting the send
key and new messages were to be auto downloaded every few
minutes-depending on the settings that have been selected.
In outlook express it does it like it is supposed to.

Any ideas

Set up send/receive: Tools, Options, Mail Setup, and
check the "Send immediately..." box. Then click
on "Send/Receive" and check the "Schedule an automatic
send/receive every..." and set the minutes you want.
