I recently discovered that certain (but not all) nested file folders created
and stored in the main Personal Folder in Outlook 2007 (small business) have
become invisible. However, when conducting an "All Mail Items" search, I am
able to see the content of the invisible folder (i.e., various emails that
turned up based on the specific key word search). When the emails turn up in
the All Mail Items search, the search results clearly show that each email is
in the folder that I thought it should be in, but again, the folder is
otherwise invisible. Anyone with an explanation or assistance would be
appreciated. I have no way of really knowing which other folders have now
become invisible.

have you expanded all folders in your personal folder file? Does it show under another folder as if it was accidentally moved?

Milly,

Thank you very much for your prompt solution. I walked through and expanded
each file folder in my Personal Files and did in fact find where some folders
had been accidentally misplaced (i.e., the files that I believed were
missing). Your input
solved this mystery.

Glad to have helped.
