Outlook opens but doesn't respond

i don't know if my program is corrupted?? when i open outlook, it starts to
open but stalls with the white background and then stops responding. i'll try
to open several times to no avail.... so, if i do a system restore it might
open ok, but sometimes, I can't open it at all. and the newest problem is
that if i am in the program and it is working fine, all of a sudden, when I
start a new message or reply to an old one, the "send" tab is missing. and i
can't send at all..

do i have a corrupted program and need to get a new one? I've even tried to
"repair" office XP w/ the installation CD... it might make it work for 2 or
3 weeks, but then i get the same problem..

any ideas???
