outlook only connects to exchange when NTLM authentication is selected

Hi akk,
i got a call from a user at work today, who said that he could not connect
to exchange 2007 ( server 2003) with outlook 2007 on his pc.

after much head sctratching i discovered that the only way i could get
outlook to connect was by changing outlook to use NTLM instead of
negotiating authentication...is this normal?

Cheers

If that is the authentication you have configured on the server and is
required by the type of connection that the user is making, then "yes".

It completely depends on the environment you are working with and how things
are configured on the server.
