outlook news (gone)

hello group,
After I added the news icon in outlook 2003, to the go drop down list and
used the newsgroup once and then closed outlook
....news is gone and no longer an option in the customize menu. What's that
about?

It's a known issue. Make sure you've set OE as your default newsreader in
Control Panel-> Internet Options-> tab Programs
