Outlook needs synchronization across machines

It amazes me that Outlook still does not make a top design priority of
solving the synchronization problem across machines when there is no Exchange
server. This has been a messy area in Outlook 2003, with a software support
market full of less than ideal solutions. Export / import is not ideal
,because it does not support deletions across machines.

Outlook needs a fully developed synchronization feature badly, and it has to
allow for individual, not "corporate", solutions.

Why? By FAR the majority of Outlook installations are used in corporate
settings.
There's nothing to stop you using one of the free mail servers that are
around, as long as you don't need to share calendars......
