Outlook needs a "save and link" option for email attachments

Does outlook provide an automated method to "save and link" an email file
attachment. This feature would work by:
o First, moving (saving and deleting) an attachment from an email to a
specified file folder, then
o Second, replacing the file attachment with a hyperlink to the moved
document?

This sure would be a great way to better manage files and reduce the ever
expanding size of Outlook Personal Folders.

There's nothing built into Outlook for this but there are 3rd party addins
that will do it -- see http://www.slipstick.com/addins/housekeeping.htm.
