Using Outlook 2007, Windows XP. One day, the message screen didn't show
message but did show some bars. Didn't work in any view. Can forward
messages & even create new ones, although you can't read what you're typing,,
LOL.

Uninstalled and reinstalled Office, and Outlook showed up with old messages
and same problems. Thought it might be virus, so wiped and reinstalled
entire computer system. Then reinstalled Office. Downloaded all updates.
Installed McAfee.

Outlook worked for a couple of days and problem returned. Before I wiped
Office the first time, I exported Outlook to thumb drive, but I'm afraid to
import them.

Also, system is much slower than before.

HELP!!! Thanks.

But problem occurred first with Symantec, and I'm using McAfee on another
computer--albeit newer with Vista--and had no problems. I'll try it though.
