Outlook meeting sent to iCal recipient changes time

Hi all,

I have read a few posts but am searching for a definitive answer (if
one exists) to this problem.
Internal users using Outlook invite an external board member to
meetings but when he receives the meeting on his Mac in iCal, the
meeting is entered into his diary 8 hours later than Perth time (i.e.
GMT).
I have no knowledge of iCal, and would prefer to keep it that way, but
is there any other way I can confirm the settings on our internal
clients are not conflicting with those in iCal - perhaps it is a legacy
of the interaction between Outlook and iCal?
Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Steve

Diane,

Thanks for the reply.
The sending computer is set at (GMT +08:00) Perth time zone, and as far
as I can tell, the Mac with iCal is set identically.
The board member reports that we are the only sender that there is an
issue with, and he deals with a wide range of meeting invitees.
A meeting sent by me takes my time stamp and when received takes the
time stamp of the receiving computer, correct? Are there any other
variables or known issues that could cause a problem? We are running
Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2000.
P.S. Our server time zone is also (GMT +08:00) Perth

Thanks
Steve

How about within Outlook's calendar?
