outlook keeps going offline

Hi,
On one of the computers that I am dealing with Outlook keeps going
'Offline'. Outlook has a number of accounts, mainly POP3 but also one
Exchange Server account (mainly for sharing the calendar and the odd file)
The computer is on a LAN that also has the server. There are two other
computers in the same office that are also using the same system for sharing
calendars but without any problems. This one computer keeps checking for
emails on the POP3 accounts but keeps going offline (bottom right of the
Outlook screen) and so doesn't update the shared calendars or files that are
being used and I need to click, file, work offline (which is ticked) to
untick it and go back online again.
How can I stop outlook from going offline (to the Exchange server) all the
time?
Cheers
Lenny

Do you have it set to hang up after checking for new mail? Tools->options->
the rest depends on your version of Outlook, which you did not post.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

Sorry about that, it is 2003 and no it is not set up to hang up. It is an
ADSL connection and there was never a problem until I added the Exchange
account.
