Outlook keeps asking me for my "Network Password."

I bought a new Dell laptop and it has Vista Home Premium as it
operating system. Last night, I installed Office 2007 and I tried to
set up my e-mail with my ISP, which is Comcast. I entered my network
password and I clicked on the "Save Network password" box, but Outlook
does not save my password.

Is this a permissions issue in Vista, or am I missing some other deep
down toggle in Outlook? I can send and receive e-mail using my
Comcast e-mail address, but I have to tell my computer each time to
"send & receive." y previous laptop runs on XP and Outlook remembers
my network password w/out a problem.
