outlook keeps asking for login and password, how do i stop?

For security purposes, I had to change my network password for outlook. Since
the change, I continually receive a banner titled "Enter Network Password".
This pops up time after time after time, even though I check "remember
password".
When I click on "cancel", a banner comes up "Outlook Send/Receive Progress",
stating that there is a send/receive error. Verify user name in account
properties, etc. I do this to no avail.
How do I stop these annoying pop ups?
Thanks

Yes- I've seen this and its because one of your old passwords is different
from one of your new passwords. When I say 'one of', you probably have up to
three places in which the passwords are kept
1) The normal logon password for the network (changed in Xp by CTRL-alt-del
and 'Change Password'. )
2) In Outlook under Tools -email accounts - select 'view or change email
accounts', then Change and overwrite the asterisks in the password box.
3) If you have an internal directory (LDAP) then you need to go to Tools
-options again and tick the 'view or change existing directories or
mailboxes' box then change and overtype the password again.
Once you've done all that it should be OK, but it sometimes takes up to 5
minutes to synchronize with the server, so you just have to click on Ok a few
times until the messages go away.

Alan, thank you for taking the time to make these suggestions. I will try to
implement them right away and advise of their success.

Alan, I tried all of your suggestions. When I followed the first one, I
didn't get any thing that said "change password". Where does that appear?
I've repeatedly tried the other 2 methods in the past and it doesn't stop the
messages.

The error message number is 0x800ccc92. Does that make a difference to the
solution?

'Baffled in California' wrote that he'd been asked to change his network
password, so the things I suggested relate to network logon. You won't get
the change password box on a stand alone PC. I have had this message once on
my home PC but simply loging off and on again got rid of it.
One thing occurs- do you have more than one email account setup, so that
Outlook checks for each in turn when you do a send/receive? If you go to
Tools- email accounts -change, is there more than one account listed there?
If there is, it may be that although you have altered one password correctly,
the other one may be asking for a different password. Just a thought.
