Outlook is very slow after I upgraded to 2003?

I upgraded to Outlook 2003 and now it operates very slowly. In particular,
it takes forever to pull up a contact when I type in a name for it to search
for. Also takes awhile to switch from one thing to another like calendar to
e-mail. I have tried all the "troubleshooting" items on microsoft.com and
none have helped.

Any ideas?
 
Hi Emily,
there could be many things,
deactivate all add ins,
deactivate the msn messanger,
how big is your pst file?
