Outlook is prompting me for a password, but I never set one. Now .

I cannot access my e-mail. I have just installed Outlook on my new computer.
I was never prompted to set a password, so I have no idea how to reset it or
stop having it ask me. I don't know where to begin.

Can anyone help, please?

Most e-mail accounts (if not all) require password to access the e-mails.
Otherwise, other people can access _your_ e-mails. If you don't know your
e-mail password, you will need to check with your mail account provider.

BTW, this newsgroup is for Microsoft Access (a database application), not
Outllok or general computer "access". If you still have problems, suggest
you re-post to one of the relevant Outlook newsgroups.

Thank you. I was unaware that this was for Access only. This is where the
help menu took me. I am aware that every e-mail account requires a password,
but in my other computers it never prompts me for on in Outlook, that is why
I was concerned.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond and I will make sure to post in
the appropriate board going forward.
