Outlook is not shutting down completely

R

Robert Strauch

I have Office XP and recently (2 months) when closing Outlook is shuts
down,but in task manager it is still running.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalls with no better results. I have all
3 service packs installed.
Any help would be appreciated.

Outlook not shutting down properly is most likely caused by an add-in
failing to release the outlook.exe process. Applications that are known to
do this are virusscanner, anti-spam software, WinFAX and synchronisation
software. Disable all your add-ins and enable them one by one to find the
one that is causing it. Also see;
