I propoerly added a Pop 3 email account (gmail), and Outlook did not create a
folder for the account. I can send messages (from the account) but cannot
view anything in the account...no messages are downloaded, no contacts, no
calendar, no nothing. Why? WHY? This is so frustrating. I am trying my
best to use Microsoft's applications and the thing is not working. ARGGG!!

Hi,

Go under View>and enable 'Navigation Pane' (for Outlook 2003).
Go under View>Folder List (for Outlook 2002/2000)

Do you find your folder list on to the left side?

Thanks,
Mittu

No luck...no folder on the left side for the email account, only personal and
archive folders (none of which display my gmail messages).

Outlook uses one set of folders no matter how many POP accounts you have.
It creates new folder sets only for HTTP and IMAP accounts.
