Outlook is hard to open

I too am having diddifulty opening Outlook 2003. I reinstalled it three
times and it just sits there... for minutes... then opens... it then does a
send and recieve but nothing comes through.
All other programs open fine..... I even tried, as suggested to type
outlook/ safe in the run mode but to no avail.
