Outlook Integration with Intranet

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help...

I have been asked if our Intranet, currently based in ASP and SQL Server
(soon to be .NET enabled) can integrate with Outlook.

The main parts of integration would be for users to view group/shared
calendars and contact lists via the web pages that make up the Intranet. This
will minimise the amount of time users spend dipping in and out of different
applications.

Does anyone know the principles of how this could be achieved or any product
that we could implement that would make this possible...?

Any thought and advice appreciated...

thanks in advance,

Regards

You built shared calendars and contact lists on your intranet using ASP and
SQL server? If that's the case, it would probably be easier to scrap Outlook
and just add pop3 email to the intranet.

No haven't built anything, wanted to have a 'view' into the data contained
on the Exchange server. Like the Sharpoints Portal does but without using it.
Or perhaps using Sharepoints but displayed on the original INtranet and not
on a Sharepoints page... Does this make sense...? Sorry if it doesn't!!
