i've just been in an internet cafe with my laptop to send an email through my
pop3 email account but it would not work came up with an error, how do i send
an email with my pop3 account in an internet cafe?

And the error would be? Assuming that it is an issue with connecting to the
SMTP server;
-ask the Internet Café what SMTP server you can use (they probably have
their own)
-contact your ISP and ask if you're allowed to connect to their SMTP server
from another network. If so you most likely need to configure your SMTP
server to use authentication.

Tips of the month:
-FREE tool; QuickMail. Create new Outlook items anywhere from within Windows
-Properly back-up and restore your Outlook data

Another thought...

Can you receive e-mails? Most likely the answer is yes, which implies an
authentication issue with their smtp server.

Look at the headers of an incoming e-mails and determine who their smtp
server is. Plug that in as your outgoing server and give that a whirl!
It's not a perfect fix, but is sometimes helpful in hotels when the clerk
hasn't a clue about DUHH internet stuff DUHH.

The Internet Cafe personnel should have a clue though.
