Is there any way to take the ourlook pst file from version 2003 and import
into 2000?
I get an error message telling me it's not compatable.

here is a description how to go back from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2002
(2000).

It is not possible to open an Outlook 2003 Unicode PST with Outlook 2000.

On the Microsoft website, the write:

"If you want to access an Outlook 2003 .pst file from a different computer
that has an earlier version of Outlook installed, or if you installed
Outlook 2003 and have decided to remove it and to use Outlook 2002 or
earlier, you must change your .pst file back to an ANSI format. To do so,
follow these steps:"
