I recently moved sites so i backed up all my outlook info
into a .pst file,
took them to the new site and tried to import them back
into outlook,
but it came up with access denied you do not have
permission for this.

anyone any ideas?

You saved the pst file to a CD? Copy it back to the HDD and remove any
Read-Only attribute. Then in Outlook go to File-Open, don't Import.

I have also found that you must check "No Encryption"
before saving the pst file.
Then on the destination machine, as has been said, copy to
the hard drive, uncheck "Read Only" and then it will
import, which I think is more correct than the "File-Open"
method.

I posted something about checking "No Encryption" but
forgot to put my name on it. Sorry.

In fact Import will change the Date Modified on messages whereas using Open
will not. AFAIK.
