Outlook icon missing

After installed MS Outlook 2002 to my computer ..the MS
outlook icon seem to be missing on desktop.. could you
guys please help how to restore the MS outlook icon

I tried various suggestions from the Internet but no luck so I put the Office CD in and told it to repair the installation and bingo the icon is back
