Outlook icon does not reflect Forward

My Outlook icon does not change to Forward when the message is forwarded.
Happens in both Outlook 2003 and 2007.
Thank you for any help.
 
POP3, IMAP, Exchange, HTTP, other...?

For Live Hotmail accounts you'll need to download and use the Outlook
Connector instead of the default HTTP account.
 
Using an Exchange Server.

Does this happen for all your emails or only some?
Which addins do you have installed?
See if it works in Outlook Safe Mode;
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /safe
