outlook help

when i open outlook express it cant recieve messeges.
error messege comes up

The connection to the server has failed.
Account: 'pop3.inspire.net.nz', Server: 'localhost',
Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error:
10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

1st a message came up, same as that but 0x8000CCC0F

i fixed that by following the instructions but now im
stuffed.

please can some1 simplfy things???

Since you see localhost as your POP server, this is your antivirus
software's fault. See if they offer an upgrade that scans mail without using
this clumsy proxy method.

Also note - this isn't the best NG for your question... OE has its own
groups:

Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x
microsoft.public.internet.outlookexpress.mac for OE for Macintosh

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups).
