Hello -

I have a user who has Outlook 2003 SP2. Outlook 2003 received the
general protection faul and closes.
The event viewer has this (see below) no PST file. No OST and the only
other item that is consistant is Google Desktop. Cached indexing is
off within Outlook.

Faulting application outlook.exe, version 11.0.8206.0, stamp 479fce0d

Try starting Outlook in Safe Mode.

"...Start Outlook in safe mode and disable all add-ins or extensions that
will not start, or a corrupted resource, file, registry, or templates. A list
of disabled items is accessible through the Disabled Items dialog box if you
click the Help menu, and then click About Microsoft Outlook. You can use this
dialog box to re-enable the listed items."

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/298838

If running Outlook in Safe Mode fixes the issue, look for the list of
Disabled Items and narrow down which one might be problem Add In, extension,
or whatever.

"If you enable some items, you may need to reload or re-install an add-in.
Enabling an item does not necessarily fix the root of the problem; an item
that you enable may be placed back on the disabled list the next time that
you start Outlook."

Is the Office installation up-to-date with Service Packs and Hotfixes?
