Outlook Express

When I click on the Outlook Express Icon, I wait almost a
minute for it to open. When I click on other Icons, they
open up immediately.
I'm using Windows XP Professional and Internet Explorer
6.0.
Thank you for your help,

Firstly two tips: Do not post messages to a technical group with just
the name of the software in the subject - try to put a precis of the
problem there, such as in your case, "OE takes ages to load". get the
idea? Secondly, try posting OE questions in an OE newsgroup. In your
newsreader, go to
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress

If you MUST use the web access (and I strongly advise you to change to a
newsreader) then look under Internet Explorer.

As to your problem, have you got a VERY large in box? It's not a good
idea to store emails in the in box anyway, as this folder is liable to
corruption. Have you got "Compact Folders in the Background" checked?
Uncheck it and do it manually once a week or so.
