outlook express

i have windows xp with outlook express bundled in. i am
unable to open or even save any attachments. the paper
clip is there, but no options are active. please walk
me thru this. thanks

Go to tools/options/security and uncheck the box "Do not allow
attachments--------- This is a security feature in Outlook Express 6

After following the 'walk-thru', do NOT open attachments that appear to have
originated from Microsoft.. they contain bad things.. delete them..

Unless you expect an attachment, know what it is, even
attachments from "friends" can be evil sent by a worm on
their computer to you.

Scan all attachments, save to disk, don't open quickly.
Take your time, it is faster than recovering from a virus.
