Great response, 'Bear.

If you're referring to upgrading to or installing Windows 7, as I
suspect
your are, Windows 7 will not include OE or any other default Mail
Client
*including* Windows Live Mail.

I suspect you grew concerned when you read
http://thundercloud.net/infoave/windows7.htm. Whoever wrote that needs
to
do some additional research: While many OEMs (e.g., Dell) will be
preinstalling Windows Live Essentials in Windows 7, that does not mean
any
Windows Live application are installed. Windows Live Essentials is the
installer used to download/install applications such as Windows Live
Mail
and Windows Live Messenger.

Confused- will I lose outlook express when new version comes out? Do I
have
to leave xp? Will xp support outlook express so I do not have to chose
a
new
e mail program? If I has to chose what do I use safely? The reason I
am
asking is because people at cloudeight say we should not use program
that
will be in the 7 upgrade- not to check it off i download- I am so
confused-
perhaps I should just use outlook even if I have to buy it. Thanks in
advance

Yikes, did Ron have one, too?

Sorry, "bad as OE" is an educated opinion and Win 7 coming with access
to Windows Live Mail is a fact.

I am trying to sync my mobile, I do not use Outlook Express, but I am
receiving the following message..

The host 'POP3' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the
server name correctly. Account: 'POP3', Server: 'POP3', Protocol: POP3, Port:
110, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D

Can someone please tell me what to do, as I havn't a clue.

Thanks...

Begin a new thread in the appropriate newsgroup about /your/ problem,
please, or contact your ISP for the correct settings.

Hint: 'POP3' is /not/ the name of your account's POP3 server.

As I was trying to sync Outlook, I thought this was the only place to leave
this problem, also as Microsoft is my ISP, they kept referring me to this
helpsite, sorry but I am not Bill Gates, and I didnt know what to do. I am
still unsure...

Microsoft is not an ISP. Is it a (e-mail address removed) or (e-mail address removed) or
(e-mail address removed) account? Are you an MSN Premium subscriber (perhaps in
association with a Partner ISP like Qwest)? Are you a Hotmail Plus
subscriber?
