Hello,
Could you please tell me how I can import all of my information from Outlook
Express to my Windows Mail??

I followed your instructions and copied all dbx mailboxes to a folder on a
flash drive, which I then moved to my new laptop running Windows Mail.
Problem is I can't make the "read only" attribute stay unchecked. As soon
as I "apply" and close the properties window, the check comes back when I
reopen it. I tried this on both the old and the new machines. So I can't
import the messages. Any suggestions on how to keep it unchecked? Does
using a flash drive complicate this?

Are you trying to change the attribute for the files or the folder they're
in?
Make a new folder in your Documents folder and copy them there.
