Hello,

Can anyone advise me on how to set up or configure MS Word 2003 to use
Outlook Express for the default e-mail client. At the moment it's Outlook
and I don't use Outlook at home.

Many thanks

Katy

The default e-mail cleint is set through Windows control panel > internet
options. Using OE does limit some of your options in Word eg you will not be
able to insert addresses from the address book.

Hello 'Graham Mayor'
Thanks for your help. I'm think perhaps I should set up my Outlook for
Word, I'm happy though with Outlook Express. I'll have to see.

Regards
Katy

As we don't know how your Home and Office versions differ, how can we
possibly answer?

Well, first of all, this is not a question for a Word discussion group;
you'll need to post in an Outlook group. But even there you'll have to
explain what the differences are that you are trying to change. Note also
that this thread is about Outlook Express, which is not the same as Outlook.
If you are using OE at home, then you will not be able to make it look like
Outlook at work. Also, if you have a different version of Office at home,
there may be irreconcilable differences.

Hello Graham,

Thanks for your advice, it worked. Thunderbird, which is now what I'm
using, was one of the options. It's just nice to have a choice.

Regards
Katy.
