Outlook "Techies"

Can Outlook Express actually be deleted from my system after loading Outlook
2003...? I don't understand why I get a query when I open Outlook 2003
asking me if I want to make it my default mail client.

1) Why can't I just delete Outlook Express now that I have Outlook 2003
installed....?

2) Why is my mail going into both Outlook Express and Outlok 2003...?

Thanks for any help anyone can provide...

You can't because OE is part of Internet Explorer, not Office, and Outlook
needs OE to work right. OL does not have a newsreader and uses OE's for that.
To stop the message, open IE, got to Tools, Internet Options, Programs, and
select Outlook as your email client and Outlook Express as your Newsreader.

Because Outlook will not work properly without Outlook Express
installed.

Once you are sure that you are receiving your messages in Outlook,
delete the email account info from Outlook Express. Or, just stop
checking for new messages with OE. As long as you have OE set up to
retrieve mail, it's going to.
