Outlook Express to Outlook

I want to start using a shared calendar on line and it only works with
Outlook. I use Outlook Express. How do I switch?

Install Outlook and begin using it.

be aware - the only shared calendar that Outlook can read AND write to is
Exchange - the calendars "shared" at Office Online are Read-only....
 
I was looking at iCalendar. Does that hold true for it do you know?

If you mean a calendar on a website in ical format, then yes, it applies to
that too....I've got a calendar at icalx.com and Outlook will only read it,
not write to it. Thunderbird with the Lightning calendar extension will both
read AND write to it....
