Outlook Express Spellchecker Problem

I had installed Microsoft Office 07 Home/Student (I think that was the
version) onto my dad's computer and it caused Microsoft Outlook Express's
spellchecker dictionary file to become French. I spoke to the Tech support
of where he purchased the computer from & apparently it's a known error!
They gave me a website address to get a download from to correct the problem

Anyway what I'd like to know is where can I find the spellchecker file on my
own computer, so I can copy it onto a disk before I install my own version of
MS Office 07. Then re-install the file back afterwards to see if that also
works!

Thanks.

For Outlook Express support, you'll want to ask in the
microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general newsgroup. OE, afaik, uses the OS
level spell checker which, for a normal, blank install of XP is none, and if
Office is installed, it will use the spell check provided there. And you
may actually want to try groups.google.com and searcing on
outlook express spell check french
first, since that question gets asked alot.

Since you're also using the web based newsreader rather than outlook
express, you might want to use
http://www.microsoft.com/communitie...px?dg=microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general
(or, since you're using Outlook Express for mail, look at the steps in
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/community/columns/newsgroups101.mspx for
how to set up OE to use the microsoft newsgroup server).

I have found a download to correct the problem for my dad's computer, no
problem. What I am trying to do is find the file in question on my own
personal comupter to copy it and paster the file back into the folder in
question it after I've installed MS Office 07.
