outlook express -spell check

I have installed Windows XP upgrade over Win-ME.
Everything works fairly well except for the spell checker
on mail that I want to check the spellig befor I send it
out. I get a message telling me that spell checker was
interupted.during checking . my spell check worked fine
on ME.I have tried to fix this problem the usual way's
but nothing works can you help. Richard
