Outlook Express SP2 Error

Upon completing the latest recommended Outlook Express Update - Cumulative Security Update for Outlook Express 6 Service Pack 1 (KB837009), Outlook Express displays an error that another client may already be signed on. This occurs on every reboot of the system. When the update is removed, the system starts OK. Any ideas? I am runnining Windows XP Home with all other critical updates, as well as Works 7
