Good afternoon. Thank you for reviewing this post. I am trying to get OE to
do a few things, and was hoping someone could answer this or point me to a
good OE help site ... I'd like to get the font formatting toolbar to appear.
I'd like BCC to show up whenever I open a new mail. I can't even Reply or
Forward as the toolbar for this is not there .. I have to go through FILE. I
am not a computer dummy; but I have searched all over options and such for
this. I have right clicked in the toolbar area and only get 2 choices.
Please help! :):) Thank you very much.

sorry for the rude net nanny replies.

when you open a new message window for editing, click on VIEW near the top and click on ALL HEADERS.
this should cause Bcc to show.
also probably will show the font menu as well.

there are news groups for outlook express by the way.

I am trying to post a new thread to get assisatnce and can only seem to get
it to work with reply. Thank you for reviewing my dilemma.
I have tried two different anti-virus programs with OE and when I use the
programs I can not recieve emails in OE. If I turn off the virus programs to
the OE I can receive the emails. I called and talked with the tec of one of
the anti-virus programs and what they finally came up for me to do is shut
off the Antio-virus to OE. I am not comfortable running my email program
with out an anti-virus running on it. Any help will be appreciated. We are
totally confused at this point.

Anti-virus programs don't run on an email program. If you mean you disabled
scanning of email in the AV program, that's fine. In fact it's recommended
that be turned off. As long as there is a resident AV scanner, scanning
incoming emails does not add any protection, but it can in fact cause
problems.

So if this is what the tech told you to do, to disable email scanning,
that's fine.

As to your problems creating a new thread, the basic problem is with the web
interface. These are actually Usenet newsgroups and MS has provided this
web interface to it. It is awful for a variety of reasons.

I recommend you use a newsreader to access these newsgroups. In fact you
can configure Outlook Express for this. Here is a link with info on how to
do this.

And those newsgroups ARE?:

Never trust anyone named "mikey".

He's either a kid, or someone who hasn't grown up yet.

of course with your limited mentality it would be hard to understand they would be called
outlookexpress
