Last night I was working on the computer - had my email open but don't
remember if I was on it or the net - had a power failure for just a few
minutes - turned computer back on - I lost about 200 emails in my INBOX - I
keep quite a few with attatchments, etc. My INBOX still had what I had
received current day and then picked back up starting March 6, 2006 and back
- so basically I lost one year of emails that I had kept - All my folders
were intact - Any ideas what may have happened??? Any way to recover
them????

The experts in the Outlook Express newsgroup are likely to know
the answer. You are currently posting in a Windows newsgroup.

If there a file named Inbox.bak in your Recycle Bin?

It's not a good idea to keep emails in the inbox. The should be moved to
other folders. This is one cause of corruption in OE, even without the
intervention of a power outage.
