Outlook express message upon exiting

I have been experiencing a nuisance. Upon exiting Outlook Express 6 I get a
message that says "To free up disk space, Outlook express can compact
messages. This can take a few minutes." Now, I realize that clicking ok, will
rid this message for a short period of time, but is there anyway to disable
it from showing up at all?
 
tools, options, maintenance tab I think - this is an outlook group and
outlook express is a different program so if you still can't find it, you'll
need to go to the outlook express newsgroup or look for the answer at
http://www.insideOE.com

Outlook EXPRESS (which is NOT Outlook) compresses mail folders every 100
(AFAIK) launches. You should NOT ignore or cancel, you should let it do it,
otherwise you run the risk of mailbox corruption.
