Every time I open an Excel attachment. It automatically saves a copy onto my
desktop. Not a shortcut, even if Outlook is closed it stays. Then I have to
delete them. So if I open 10 e-mails with an excel file attached to each I
will have ten new Icons on the desktop? Does anyone know how to get this to
stop. We've used Outlook for years, this has just started happening two days
ago.

You should post this in the forum for your operating system. OE is not part
of Office. Windows remembers the last place you saved to. Use the Browse
button to change it on the next save.
