Outlook Express Folders

In my Outlook Express Store Folder I have about forty .dbx files however not
all of these appear in the folder list when I open Outlook Express which
shows only some 30 folders; where could the other 10 be? Any ideas please?

I've made sure that under options/maintenance.store folder that I'm directed
to where all the dbx files are kept.

make sure you have followed these instrux exactly for each one.

As for the names, you cannot have the exact same ones that come with
OE.

you need to rename the other folders if they are duplicates of those
stock oe folders above

I did find with another machine, oe would only import 15 folders, so I
had to convert those, etc. and then delete them and import the others.
You might be having that type of problem.

There is some great frwr for working onoe dbx conversions if that is
what you are doing.

Import DBX files into Outlook Express

Problem
You have a number of Outlook Express DBX files. You cannot open them in
Outlook Express, because the Folders.dbx file is missing.

Applies To
Microsoft Outlook Express v6

Solution
1. In Outlook Express create a new folder corresponding to each of
the dbx files you want to import.

2. (important and often issed) Open each new, empty folder. This
prompts Outlook Express to create new dbx files.

3. Close Outlook Express.

4. Move the new empty dbx files to another location (you shouldn’t
need them again, but keep them just in case).

5. Copy your dbx files into the Outlook Express folder.

6. Open Outlook Express. You should now be able to open the
folders and see your data.
