Outlook Express Find Message function stopped working

Spontaneously Outlook Express Find Message function will no longer search for
messages. The Find Message window opens and after adding message search
criteria e.g. to, from, subject etc. and clicking the Find Now button nothing
happens. The window where the various emails would appear relating to the
search criteria stays blank and no indication that any search is made. Help!

See if the problem persists in a new named identity.

You may have a damaged identity especially if it is the default Main
Identity. File | Identity | Add New Identity. Create a new one and test it.
If all is well, you can import your messages and Address Book from the old
identity and delete it.

Note: Do not use the word Main in the name of the new identity.
